Grants Help Magdalena House Families Thrive
Magdalena House families continue to thrive thanks to the support of generous community funders. We are grateful for the recent grant funding from these organizations:
Najim Family Foundation
The Harvey E. Najim Family Foundation has once again generously funded Magdalena House to support children and their mothers by providing food, shelter, childcare, and essential needs of our residents. The Harvey E. Najim Family Foundation is aimed at helping children’s charitable organizations in the greater San Antonio area.
San Antonio Area Foundation
Magdalena House is thrilled to receive a grant from the following fund(s)
John L. Santikos Charitable Foundation
of the San Antonio Area Foundation.
The San Antonio Area Foundation has served as the sole, designated community foundation for the San Antonio area for over half a century, growing to become one of the Top 20 foundations in the nation based on asset size.
St. Mark's Episcopal Church
The core vocation of St. Mark’s is “Feeding San Antonio with the Bread of Life.” St. Mark's is partnering with Magdalena House to "feed the hungry" - helping our families meet basic needs.
San Antonio Junior Forum
The San Antonio Junior Forum has generously funded the installation of 3 new solar streetlights in our Magdalena House neighborhood.
Especially in the midst of this pandemic, support from these generous organizations will ensure that each of our 14 families have safe, stable, long-term shelter with the life-changing supports to help them thrive even now.
